Lafayette Afro-Rock Band - Soul Makossa (1973)

If you liked the other Lafayette Afro-Rock Band album I posted then head right into this. If you haven't listened to that go read my review because I'm not writing it again. The jams here feel slightly lengthier and give the band more time to stretch out, so if you're into that you're in luck! What I listened to/am posting is a reissue with extended mixes and bonus tracks, so that might be why I'm saying that. Anyway it's tight, cool, and groovy Afro-Latin funk with a full edge of dopeness. Hihache might be the only song more sampled in hip hop than the Darkest Light and Apache.
