Lil Slim - Powder Shop (1994)

An early Cash Money release that shows just exactly why the label blew up. Tight, catchy basslines over the Triggaman beat are always dope, but Slim gives the extra push over PxMxWx and U.N.L.V. He's the most commanding rapper Cash Money was featuring at this point (granted he was the best recorded--in terms of sound quality). His lyrics are about servin' bustas and the works and his attack is absolute fire. Mannie Fresh was just starting to make a name for himself at this point, but proves to be just as hot as he would be in a few years.
