Kilo G - The Sleepwalker (1992)

One of the earliest Cash Money albums surprisingly isn't produced by Mannie Fresh and doesn't resemble anything even close to bounce. In 1992, Kilo G was more like a long lost cousin of Houston's South Park Coalition; not because of his lyrics (which don't change much for his 1995 album, The Bloody City--with Mannie), but because the instrumentals here echo the hard, loc'd out funk from early 90s Houston or Sacramento. He mixes the laid back, psycho, gangsta flow of C-Bo and heartless microphone attacks of K-Rino and Point Blank for this short and ruthless part of displaced history.
